Midwest Men’s Festival is held outside of Kansas City, Kansas on a wonderful piece of land known as Gaea Retreat Center. For the duration of Festival we have exclusive use of this fantastic natural environment and the modest yet comfortable facilities of Gaea.
Tenting is strongly encouraged and there’s plenty of space for it.
There are several cabins available that can sleep as many as 16 (realistically, six to eight). Cabin space is available on a first come-first serve basis, but no one will be without a place to stay. The cabins are rustic, equipped only with bunk beds and mattresses. You will need to provide your own pillow and bedding.
One cabin is available to those with special health related needs. It has an air conditioner and a sink and toilet. Please arrange for use of this space in advance by contacting the registrar.
The lake in the center of the land provides opportunities for swimming and boating. We request that no one swim alone, especially at night. A row boat and life vests are available and you are encouraged to bring your own canoe or other aquatic play toys. The lake has a wonderful sunning/diving platform, a sand beach with afternoon shade, and ample shoreline for creating your own brand of fun.
Swimming and boating are at your own risk. Proper water safety habits should be practiced at all times.
